Bridal Party

Christie | Maid of Honor
Christie is known for creating extensive to-do lists, wowing Canadian border guards with her superior wit, talking fast (and consistently), and being a wonderful mother. Gina believes (and Gage agrees) that Christie might be the smartest person on the planet, and can do anything she puts her mind to. Along with being Gina's older and wiser sister, Christie also ranks as one of Gina's closest and dearest friends.

Kristen | Bridesmaid
Kristen and Gina aren't sure when they became such good friends, but they do know it was somewhere between 1993 and 1999, while neither of them were paying attention! They've travelled around together a bit, and have been known to bicker like an old married couple. Kristen was with Gina when she met Jon in Doolin; actually, if Kristen hadn't run off with a dashing irishman, Jon and Gina may never have gotten to get to know one another! Again, Kristen was present the night Gina and Jon kissed 6 months after they met. It is only fitting that Kristen be a part of their special day!

Aimee | Bridesmaid
Aimee and Gina met the fall of seventh grade, and began walking together from science class to tech. The summer before eighth grade, Aimee called Gina and asked if they could sit with each other at lunch; Gina agreed. For the rest of junior high and high school the two were practically inseparable. Together they managed to get into and successfully get out of some interesting trouble, but stuck by each other through it all!

Kristina | Bridesmaid
Kristina and Gina also met in the seventh grade, where they shared a very messy locker. Becoming fast friends, they decided to both (on a school trip, and with Gina's parents) travel to Italy together. In Italy, the two managed mostly not to pay attention or appreciate any of the finer Italian arts, but rather sing Billy Joel songs and argue with one another. Ten years later they were still great friends, so they decided to drive cross country on a month long camping trip. This time they saw all the historical sites in a most dork-like manner! (they did sing a few songs on this trip as well, but no fighting!) Kristina is also getting married, only a couple weeks after Gina!

Shelly | Bridesmaid
Shelly and Gina are cousins--sort of. Shelly and her sister Lori grew up alongside Gina and Christie in the lovely Ducktown neighborhood. As children, the four girls spent a lot of time together. Once they could talk, they refered to each other as cousins, and it stuck. More than a cousin, Shelly was like a big sister to Gina. Shelly claims to remember the day Gina was born! And then 25 years later on Gina's birthday, Shelly gave birth to her son Tyler.

Lori | Bridesmaid
Lori and Gina grew up as the younger sisters. Both of them endured years of torture from Christie and Shelly. This torture included such things as having to painfully learn dance routines to Funkytown while standing on plastic milk crates in the garage. Together Lori and Gina made it through. While in junior high and high school, Lori spent some time protecting Gina from girls who wanted to beat her up. Once people knew Lori was Gina's "cousin" no one ever picked on her again!

Groomsmen

Scott J. Young | Best Man
Jon's older brother and boyhood hero is everything a big brother should be. Best known for his pursuit of perfection in all things, here is a man who knows what he wants and finds a way to get it. His technological savvy is unrivaled - indeed, it's a proven fact that he owned an HDTV long before you knew such a thing even existed. A handsome, brilliant, strong, and charasmatic presence, you may find his gregarious mix of charm and silverback intensity almost disarming. But don't feel bad, for you're not alone! We are all humbled by his Man-ness.

Adam Monahan | Best Friend
Hobbes to Jon's Calvin, or perhaps the other way around, Adam and Jon have been best friends since their senior year of high school, when they skpped school one morning to camp outside a Ticketmaster outlet for... Indigo Girls tickets? Listen, it's a long story, don't judge. Anyway, from the Syracuse dorms to the slums of North London, they've been roommates at six different addresses spanning eight years, two continents, and more outrageous behaviour than is fit to print here. (Adam also holds the distinction of living with both the Groom AND the Bride on Commonwealth Avenue.) Having shared most of the very best times in each others' lives, Jon is grateful that Adam will be a part of this one, too.

Jeff Martin | Groomsman
By all accounts, the mild-mannered Jeff Martin appears a clean cut gentleman - any parent will tell you what a "good kid" he is - but he is rumored to lead a mysterious double life under the alias "Flippy." While Jeff Martin toils day and night as an electrical engineer, keeps a tidy house, and generally brings pride to his family's name as an upstanding member of society, "Flippy" (or, "The Jeff") is said to have passed out in alleys while befriending bums, cursed at Christmas, and wrangled with parking meters and other stationary objects. Whatever the truth is, Jeff and Jon have been close friends since sharing the same grunge era disenfranchisement with honors classes, tennis lessons, and Market Basket.

Scott Chicarello | Groomsman
Except for the Best Man, Scott has known Jon the longest of anyone on this page - since second grade, in fact. As two of the shortest kids at Sanborn Elementary, they often found themselves in competition for the same things: like the job of holding the sign during class pictures, or as they grew up, the affections of the shortest girls in class. (While Scott has clearly moved on, Jon still feels horrible about stealing his 6th grade girlfriend.) The charmer of the group, you will not be able to resist his offers of Jim Beam or Wild Turkey shots... but resist them you must!

Paul Faircloth | Groomsman
Paul Faircloth embodies the human dynamic. From the perilious lows of wandering the streets of Brooklyn at 4:30am in search of an elusive after-hours party, to the dizzying heights of, say, actually finding that party, a night with Pablo is an intense but often enriching experiment (as Jon and Adam repeatedly discovered while the three shared a flat in London). A full-time math teacher and full-time graduate student, Paul also finds time to tutor high school kids, teach chess at the local library, visit the elderly, and play in multiple basketball leagues, among other endeavours. While his intentions are good, beware his sometimes rash judgement: if, at two in the morning, you find yourself playing poker with strangers at a party over an hour away, well, don't say we didn't warn you.

Greg Eisenhauer | Groomsman
Greg is a cousin and friend to the Groom; his stepmother Ciel is Jon's aunt and Godmother. A mountain man and the brawn of the group, Greg nonetheless possesses a taste for the finer things in life, and is well-schooled in the aristocratic pursuits of sailing, world travel, and polo... (ok, fine, he doesn't play polo). A former ski instructor, Trinity College footballer, and now a real estate appraiser, he also taught English in Japan for three years. A member of Jon's family and a friend to Gina's, Greg was even there in Italy when the two got engaged!

Rehearsal & Dinner

The wedding rehearsal will be held at St. Cecilia's church on Friday night (Aug. 31st) at 6pm. Everyone in the wedding party is required to attend, so please let us know if it will be a problem for you.

Immediately following the rehearsal we invite everyone in the wedding party to join us for dinner at Maggiano's Little Italy at 4 Columbus Avenue, across from the Park Plaza Hotel (near the Arlington T stop). We highly recommend the eggplant parm!
